Lithuanian Association of Consulting Companies has been established in 2003. It is a voluntary alliance of the registered in Lithuania design/consulting companies, delivering design documentation for the territorial planning and building construction, providing consultancy services, performing the authors' supervision, assessment of the impact to environment, technical specifications, feasibility studies, project management and other services related to a project implementation, including specialized in one or several engineering or architectural sectors. Promotion and protection of the business and professional interests of designers/consultants within Lithuania and abroad as well as serve as the representative voice is the Mission of the Association.
The main goal of the Association is strive for quality and professionalism in design and consultancy services, establishment of additional value for a project, tendering sustainable solutions for the built up and natural areas, management of risks and project expenses and secure the project social and economical efficiency.<p>
Recruiting the Lithuanian design and consultancy companies for the professional co-operation, the Association strives in the regular meetings and discussions: share with experience in issues interesting companies, distribution of internal and external information including information from FIDIC, assistance for improve of qualifications for the companies' staff, co-ordination of the member - companies activity. Meetings and discussions are being provided in different cities and organizations with parallel visits to the more important constructions and meetings with responsible representatives of various sectors and people being interested for a member - company services. Thus constant and coherent building of designers' and consultants' capacity will originate prerequisites for selection of member - company by clients who strive for quality guaranties and minimal risk.
The Association actively participates in the legal basis development with regard to common interests of country and own business: members of the Association working in various commissions initiate new legal acts and amendments for existing ones. According to existing facilities the Association takes care for the tender transparency, vitality of companies, international contacts and contracts, provide recommendations for clients with regard to designer or consultant selection. The Association within its activity strives to assist organizations with implementation of the EU requirements, documents, approaches, regulations and praxis in Lithuania. It intends assistance of organizations in specific issues: integration, fees for designers/consultants services as well as their selection. Member -companies in turn are being publicized on lists of the Association members including WEB site of the Association.
The association requires from members to observe FIDIC Code of Ethics, especially acceptance of responsibility to society to seek solutions that are compatible with the principles of sustainable development, at all times uphold the dignity, standing and reputation of the consulting industry, to maintain knowledge and skills, provide all services with integrity and faithfulness, perform services only when competent to perform them, promote the concept of QBS, etc.
Implementation of FIDIC documents and the Code of Ethics shall be the strategic goal of the Association in order to step forth together with other Nations of the World.
